Since its debut in March 2023, this exceptional vehicle has already garnered international acclaim, winning prestigious awards like the 2024 World Car of The Year and the Best of the Best Award in Cars and Motorcycle category by Red Dot Award: Product Design 2024.
The Kia EV9 epitomises bold styling and sophisticated elegance inside and out. Its bold and confident visual presence was inspired by Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy. The EV9 re-envisions the all-electric SUV with a unique balance of natural and modern elements.
Its overall exterior provides a sense of composed contemporary calmness of a sophisticated EV for a new age of sustainable mobility as the EV9 displays a bold and contemporary appearance while maintaining its unique character.
The front of the EV9 exudes confidence, clarity and calmness with its clear-cut lines and surfaces. Its signature “Digital Tiger Face” showcases its unique identity, accentuating the “Digital Pattern Lighting Grille” that adds an element of dynamism and sophistication, while its vertical headlamps give the EV9 a visionary and futuristic appearance. The EV9’s “Star Map” lighting featured on its LED daytime running lights (DRL) and taillights create a sophisticated animated lighting pattern that gives the vehicle an instantly recognisable look.
The EV9’s interior design is tailored to elevate the experience for millennial families, emphasising space, adaptability, comfort, and cutting-edge technology. Through Kia’s design philosophy, the “Technology for Life” pillar ensures that only technology and innovation that promote positive, intuitive interactions between humans and machines is created.
The EV9’s long wheelbase, low beltline, and flat electric vehicle architecture are key elements contributing to its generous space. Available in two seating configurations, the six-seat and seven-seat configuration, the EV9 accommodates different passenger needs. Besides its spacious, light and airy cabin, the EV9 embodies an elegantly simple, premium-quality, and user-friendly design created using recycled materials.
Its floating panoramic dashboard extends from the steering wheel to the centre of the vehicle. Equipped with two 12.3-inch touch screens integrated with a 5-inch segment display, it improves the digital experience, offering effortless control of the vehicle’s functionality and ensuring physical buttons are kept to a minimum.
Built on Kia’s cutting-edge Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the EV9 is the second Kia model based on this platform and the first to feature fourth-generation battery technology designed for improved energy density. The EV9’s powertrain is powered by a high-voltage battery pack of 99.8 kWh, paired with dual electric motors that power the front and rear axles. The AWD EV9 can travel up to 505 kilometres* in a single charge, with a maximum 700 Nm of torque and producing 380 horsepower.
