Analytics specialists from Maxim E-hailing shared their statistical data on names, gender, age, phone operating systems and phone brands of the Maxim app users, with percentage and comparison.
The data shows that 50.5% of the app users are men, compared to women with 49.5%. According to MYCencus 2020, the ratio of men to women in Malaysia is 103 over 100, which means that the gender composition of users of Maxim E-hailing is similar to that of the entire Malaysian population.
Among Maxim clients, the most common women’s names are Aisyah, Nurul, Ain, Farah, and Ika, while for men, the most popular names are Alif, Daniel, Aiman, Ahmad, and Alex. This data was collected based on the registration of the middle name.
People aged 24 years old and younger comprise the biggest group, with 42% of the total number of users; Maxim specialists believe that most of the younger-generation clients are like university students. Running a close second is the 25–35-years-old age group with 39%, which is followed by the older generation aged 36–45 years old with 14%. As for passengers aged over 46 years old, they come at just 5% of the total Maxim user base.
Regarding the phone operating system, Maxim clients use iOS and Android. Most (50.5%) have Android phones, while iOS is preferred by 49.5% of the users. The rating of the app on this system is as high as 4.8 stars.
In terms of the users’ phone brands, the iPhone takes a confident lead with 49.5%, followed by Samsung with 18.5%, and Vivo with 12%. Oppo takes fourth place with 11%, and Realme rounds out the top five with 9%. Most of the users use the iPhone because it’s a huge and popular brand in Malaysia.
So, who can you expect a Maxim user to be? Judging by the data, most likely it would be a 24-year-old man, who uses the iPhone and is also named Alif.
