- While the Allure variant costs RM 134,103, it comes with two optional accessories – a hands-free power tailgate (RM 2,100) and a P-URE Performance tint (RM 1,900). The SE model accessories package, on the other hand, also includes black front, side, and rear bumper garnish, piano black rims, SE badges, and vehicle decals
- The chrome detailing of the Allure is replaced by matte black trims in the SE model; even the 17-inch alloys are finished in piano black tone
- The SE model also gets a splash of red and black decals on the hood and side
No other changes can be made between the ongoing Peugeot 2008 Allure and SE models; the two share the same cabin and powertrain specifications.
Powering the 2008 SE is the same tried and tested 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo engine generating a maximum power output of 130 hp along with a peak torque of 230 Nm. The drive is transmitted to the front wheels by the same 6-speed automatic transmission.
Even the braking and suspension setup remains the same with the SE model also getting ventilated disc and solid disc brakes at the front and rear ends respectively. As for suspension, it gets a MacPherson strut setup at the front and a torsion beam setup in the back.
Overall, the Peugeot 2008 SE is essentially a cosmetic package that customers opt for at the time of purchase. In addition to attractive accessories, it comes with a 1-year/20,000 km Peugeot Genuine Accessory Warranty and is offered in only two tones – Orange Fusion and Pearl White.
