Kuala Lumpur (March 30, 2020) – MBM Resources Berhad (MBMR) announced a RM300,000 medical donation to support the nation’s healthcare system in the ongoing battle against the novel coronavirus COVID-19.
Channelled through the Sumbangan Perubatan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM), the allotted contribution will go towards the purchase of medicines, medical equipment and other medical necessities to ease the increasing weight experienced by hospitals around Malaysia.
“These two weeks has seen a shocking rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia; our public hospitals have been working overtime and are experiencing a shortage of medical supplies. The gravity of this situation cannot be overstated and as a socially responsible corporate citizen, it is our duty to aid the nation as much as we can. We hope our contribution will, in some capacity, provide the much needed supplies and alleviate the challenges faced by healthcare practitioners,” said Datuk (Dr) Aminar Rashid bin Salleh, Chairman of MBM Resources Berhad.
Datuk (Dr) Aminar Rashid also took the opportunity to thank the frontliners and advice Malaysians on how they can help in these trying times. “We cannot fight this battle alone. The health and safety of our country depend on each and every one of us to do our part and in that spirit, we urge the rakyat to do theirs by staying home. On behalf of my team at MBM Resources Berhad, we would also like to take this opportunity to thank all medical personnel for serving the country in this combat against COVID-19.”

In compliance with the government’s Movement Control Order (MCO) and in support of a safer Malaysia, MBM Resources Berhad has suspended operations of its trading and manufacturing divisions and has extended a work-from-home directive, where applicable to the relevant employees. During this period, the administrative office is closed however the management office is still contactable via contact@mbmr.com.my. Operations will resume upon the lift of the MCO.
