Hyundai Motor Malaysia Broadens Offerings through Wider Network and Insurance Partnerships

by Kenny Yeoh

KUALA LUMPUR, January 29, 2026 – Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) strengthens its presence in the Malaysian market, signing a Letter of Intent (LOI) with new dealer partner HZN Inspiration Sdn Bhd. As part of its broader ownership-experience strategy, HMY also formalised partnerships with five leading insurance providers to safeguard the long-term value of Hyundai vehicles.

Strengthening Retail Network

Under this collaboration, Hyundai and HZN Inspiration Sdn Bhd will explore the establishment of new dealership facilities within Klang Valley, with the first outlet targeted to be ready in the second quarter of 2026. This expansion reinforces Hyundai’s ongoing strategy to grow its footprint in a region with strong market momentum and sustained customer demand.

The network expansion reflects Hyundai’s commitment to improving accessibility and bringing its brand, products and services to customers across key markets. By broadening the retail channels, Hyundai aims to better serve customers while sustaining long-term growth in Malaysia.

At Hyundai Motor Malaysia, we are guided by our theme ‘Sentiasa di sisi anda’. This means we are committed to our customers and our partners for the long-term,” said Mr Eric Lee, President of Hyundai Motor Malaysia. “HZN has had a strong presence in the automotive industry since 2011, and we believe that their experience will be a key support for our expansion goals to connect better with our customers.”

Hyundai is here to stay. To deliver on this promise, we must continue expanding our reach and building a network that supports customers wherever they are,” added Ms Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen, Managing Director of Hyundai Motor Malaysia. “HZN’s strong presence and experience in the Malaysian market give us great confidence as we expand our network and continue growing the Hyundai brand. This partnership will open more opportunities for us to bring our brand closer to customers and serve them better.”

Expanding Customer-Centric Ownership Offerings

Alongside its retail network expansion, Hyundai is also enhancing its customer-centric ownership offerings to further support customers throughout their journey with the brand.

Centre of this is the upcoming Hyundai Protection Plan, designed to provide customers with more comprehensive, flexible and simplified protection, reinforcing long-term confidence and peace of mind.

The Hyundai Protection Plan is being developed in collaboration with multiple insurance partners, including Allianz, Berjaya Sompo, Tokio Marine, Etiqa, and Takaful Ikhlas. Customers will benefit from an extensive suite of offerings, including agreed value coverage of up to 15 years in the event of accident or theft, desktop claims approval of up to RM30,000 within 24 hours, unlimited towing and round-the-clock roadside assistance, as well as zero-gap coverage based on invoice price, among others.
