Kuala Lumpur, 26 July 2024 – BFGoodrich has recently hosted an exclusive hands-on preview of BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 – the long-awaited, much improved successor to the legendary BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 – at Sirromet, a working vineyard and events venue that offers a mix of challenging trails and scenic views, in Brisbane, Australia.
The event, that ran from 7 to 17 July 2024, allowed more than 200 dealers, media representatives, and industry influencers from 8 countries across the East Asia and Australia region – namely, Australia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam – to be among the first in the region to experience firsthand the exceptional 3T (Toughness, Traction, and Treadwear) performance of BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 before its official launch in September.
BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 is introduced nearly a decade after its predecessor, incorporating the latest tire technologies to improve upon its predecessor’s legendary performance in 3 key areas:
- Toughness with CoreGard Technology and Advanced Deflection Design for enhanced sidewall toughness.
- Traction with the updated serrated shoulder design and mud-phobic bars for better mud traction.
- Treadwear with a new tread compound for greater durability and longevity, even on gravel roads, plus optimized interlocking tread elements for even wear over the long haul – thus earning its tagline, ‘Legendary Toughness. Made Tougher.’
The event featured an Exhibition Zone, and 3 Workshop Stations. The Exhibition Zone highlighted the long history and legacy of the BFGoodrich brand that has been passed on for over 150 years, and showcases – apart from the flagship BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 – BFGoodrich’s off-road products, including BFGoodrich HD Terrain – the ultimate tire for the toughest jobs, BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 – a “must-have” tire for the serious off-road enthusiast when conditions require extreme traction and toughness, and BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A – an all-season tire engineered for both on-road performance and light off-road situations.
Besides that, participants got to experience both on-road and off-road driving with the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 through 3 Driving Workshops: Toughness Built to Overcome – a workshop that allowed two participants and an instructor in each test-drive car to enjoy themselves on the challenging off-road track, consisting of shale hills, water ruts, rock gardens, and slippery slopes; Traction & Treadwear – a performance lab workshop that showcased the tire’s durability and its performance for dirt brake, mud acceleration, and accelerated treadwear; plus All-Terrain On-Road & Off-Road – a workshop for participants to drive not only on public roads to experience reduced noise, excellent steering and handling; but also on soft off-road routes to witness the tire’s ability to tackle soft off-roading, water crossings, and rough terrain.
In all 3 driving workshops, the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 – specifically engineered and designed for CUVs, SUVs, and pickups – is fitted to leading high-performance vehicles e.g. Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Ford Everest, Ford Ranger Raptor, and Mazda BT50.
The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires will be available for purchase in Malaysia starting this October.
