In six countries across the APAC region, drivers in need on the road will be able to access real-time and on-demand roadside assistance from within the Waze app.
Kuala Lumpur, 19 June 2019 – After its successful launch across Europe in 2018, Allianz Partners, a world leader in B2B2C insurance and assistance, and Waze, the real-time crowdsourced navigation app, are today announcing an expansion of their partnership to provide roadside assistance services to over 10 million Waze users across Asia Pacific: in Singapore, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Thailand and Australia. Drivers will be able to access an on-demand roadside assistance service powered by Allianz Partners in real-time, by one simple click on the Roadside Help (‘SOS’) button in the Waze app, and get support from either a digital platform or call center. Wazers will be assisted anywhere, 24/7, in the event of a breakdown, flat tire or dead battery.
This expansion builds on an existing partnership launched in July 2018 across 20 European countries, giving over 22 million Waze users access to on-demand roadside assistance.
“Allianz Partners is proud to expand its partnership with Waze to the Asia Pacific market. Allianz Partners, as the ‘high-tech, high-touch’ assistance services leader, will be providing on-demand immediate assistance solutions to a highly digitalized audience. Together, Allianz Partners and Waze will focus on making the drivers’ experience even safer, more secure, and more convenient, anytime and anywhere.
