Kia has equipped the new EV6 with an 84kWh fourth-generation battery to improve the vehicle’s single-charge range and a choice of electric motor configurations that deliver a maximum of 239kW of power and 605Nm of torque[1] for a superior driving experience and improved comfort. With these enhancements, the 2WD model now boasts a single-charge range of 494km, up from 475km[2].

The fourth-generation battery has a higher energy density, increasing capacity from 77.4kWh to 84kWh for the new EV6. This not only extends the vehicle’s range but also enables faster charging. Equipped with the same 350kW ultra-rapid charging system, the new battery can be recharged from 10-80 percent in under 18 minutes. For the same time spent charging, the new EV6’s larger battery adds more range than its predecessor, boosting customer convenience.

To further enhance driving comfort, the new EV6 features upgraded frequency selective suspension dampers to deliver improved stability on the uneven surfaces. Kia has also focused on reducing motor noise by enhancing the rear motor’s sound insulation to improve overall refinement and the driving experience.

Advanced convenience features for a class-leading mobility experience

Kia has enhanced the new EV6’s product competitiveness by equipping it with advanced infotainment features based on the brand’s Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) architecture. These customer-centric convenience features aim to enhance connectivity between the vehicle and user.

The new EV6 features Kia’s next-generation infotainment system and connected car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC), which provides a more convenient mobility experience. It also offers expanded OTA software updates to ensure that the vehicle’s digital systems remain up to date. The infotainment system includes streaming services for video and high-quality audio content, as well as precise voice recognition capabilities for seamless use.

The new EV6 also features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a walk-away lock feature that automatically locks the doors when the driver exits the vehicle with the key, an ‘e hi-pass’ system for toll payments without a physical card, Kia Digital Key 2, and a fingerprint authentication system.

To enhance safety and convenience, Kia has incorporated various Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features. These include the Hands-on Detection (HoD) steering wheel, Lane Following Assist 2 (LFA 2), Remote Smart Parking Assist 2 (RSPA 2) and front, side, and rear Parking Collision-avoidance Assist (PCA-F/S/R). These features assist the driver and enhance safety on every journey.

The new EV6 also features a reinforced body thanks to stronger, thicker B-pillars, and is equipped with a comprehensive 10-airbag safety system, including an additional second-row side airbag to ensure high levels of protection for all occupants.

Numerous additional features are fitted to the EV6 to significantly enhance customer convenience, such as the electrically adjustable (rake and reach) steering wheel, air-conditioner photocatalyst sterilization system, 12-inch Head-Up Display (HUD), Digital Center Mirror (DCM) and Built-in-Cam 2 system.
