VOLVO TRUCKS MALAYSIA ANNOUNCES ASSET SALE TO DAI LIENG MACHINERY IN SARAWAK

SHAH ALAM, SELANGOR, 2 May 2024 – Volvo Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., (Volvo Trucks Malaysia) a reputable heavy-duty player in the automotive industry, is pleased to announce a successful asset sale to Dai Lieng Machinery Sdn. Bhd in Sarawak. This strategic move is in line with Volvo Trucks Malaysia’s commitment to enhancing customers’ experiences and reinforces its dedication to delivering exceptional value to stakeholders.

Under the agreement, Dai Lieng Machinery Sdn. Bhd.  will acquire key assets from Volvo Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.’s truck business for its Kuching and Bintulu dealerships. This transaction empowers both Volvo Trucks Malaysia and Dai Lieng Machinery Sdn Bhd to work in partnership to grow its operations and deliver reliable solutions for the heavy-duty automotive industry.

With this asset sale, Dai Lieng Machinery Sdn. Bhd. becomes the sole Volvo Trucks Malaysia dealer in East Malaysia with branches strategically located in Miri (headquarters), Kuching, Bintulu, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan and Tawau.  Operations will begin as Dai Lieng Machinery Sdn. Bhd. effective 2 May 2024.
