KUALA LUMPUR, 2 January 2026 – Volvo Car Malaysia today announced the opening of registration of interest for the Volvo ES90, the brand’s new fully electric sedan that will join its locally assembled lineup in Malaysia.

Starting today, customers may register their interest through Volvo Car Malaysia’s official website at volvocars.com/my/cars/es90-electric. Further details, including the official market introduction, available variants and pricing, will be announced at a later date. As a privilege for early interest, registrants will receive a 2% early-bird incentive on the new Volvo ES90, limited to the first 100 units booked between now and 31 March 2026.

Patricia Yaw, Sales & Marketing Director of Volvo Car Malaysia shares: “This year, as we mark 60 years since Volvo established its presence in Malaysia, it is especially meaningful to commemorate this milestone with the local assembly of the Volvo ES90, our first fully electric sedan. Built on six decades of experience, customer insight, and ongoing innovation, the ES90 reflects how far we have grown and evolved as a brand. Most importantly, it represents our lasting commitment to the Malaysian customers who have supported and inspired us over the years”.

The Volvo ES90 introduces Volvo’s most technologically advanced platform, featuring an 800-volt architecture designed for efficiency, performance, and usability. With support for charging speeds of up to 350 kW, drivers can charge from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 22 minutes1 or gain 300 km of range in just 10 minutes.

Delivering up to 333 PS and 480 Nm of torque, with an estimated WLTP range of up to 651km on a single charge2, the Volvo ES90 combines performance and practicality – enabling drivers to commute to almost everywhere within the country with a single charge, offering a level of confidence and peace of mind rarely seen in the local market.

The Volvo ES90 is fully software-defined, built on Volvo’s SPA2 platform and supported by the Superset tech stack, a unified system of hardware and software modules that allow the car to continuously improve throughout its lifecycle via over-the-air updates.

Also, the Volvo ES90 will feature a NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin computing system – the first in any Volvo, making it the most powerful Volvo ever in terms of processing capacity. This advanced system forms the foundation for next-generation safety intelligence, AI integration, and data-driven optimisation, further elevating both safety and driving experience.

With these technological innovations and local assembly advantages, the Volvo ES90 offers a compelling combination of performance, luxury, and practicality. Interested customers can
