In addition to hosting the regional Shell Eco-marathon Asia challenge, Shell Malaysia provides a platform for students to meet with industry players for collaborative opportunities

KUALA LUMPUR, 28 FEBRUARY – Make the Future Live returns to Malaysia for the second consecutive year to celebrate innovation among students. At the heart of Make the Future Live Malaysia is Shell Eco-marathon Asia, a platform that challenges students to design and build ultra-energy-efficient cars, and then put them to test. Make the Future Live Malaysia 2020 will take place in Sepang International Circuit (SIC) from the 2nd to the 5th of June.

This year, Shell Malaysia collaborated with Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) to significantly improve the outcome for five local teams participating in SEMA.

This was done by exposing the students to four local original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in a matchmaking session to encourage collaborations between industry players and Malaysian teams to enhance the performance of their cars.

En. Bakri Bin Alias, Sr. General Manager, Advance Technology Development Division, MARii delivering a speech on the Shell Malaysia and MARii partnership for better local student team outcomes.
