Maxim E-hailing Increases the Number of Driving Schools to Educate its Partners

by Kenny Yeoh

Maxim E-hailing pays attention to educating its partner-drivers about the importance of having PSV licenses, as well as complying with road safety and traffic rules in Malaysia. In this regard, the company has taken the initiative to collaborate with more than 25 driving schools throughout Malaysia to share knowledge about road safety and traffic rules. Every month, representatives from Maxim together with driving school instructors arrange seminars dedicated to various aspects of PSV licenses, traffic rules, and road safety programs.

This initiative was launched in 2021 with the intention to enhance the quality of service and safety of passengers. Currently, Maxim E-hailing is collaborating with driving schools in Sungai Petani Kedah, Kuantan, and Malacca in Peninsular Malaysia and in east coast Sabah and Labuan in East Malaysia.

“Cooperation with driving schools is the best way to share knowledge about the importance of PSV licenses and traffic rules. This initiative ensures the compliance of partner-drivers and their vehicles with the established standards, improves the quality of trips, and makes them safer.  Moreover, it’s a good way to establish communication between Maxim and potential partner-drivers,” said the head of the Licensing Department, Nurul Nadira Anatalia.

Maxim E-hailing organizes events connected with this initiative every month, and most recently, sessions were held at Wawasan Sibu Driving School Sdn Bhd and East Cost Driving School located at Kuantan, Pahang.

“I attended the seminar at Nation Drive Wilayah Sdn Bhd and got a lot of information about the e-hailing industry there. Maxim shared knowledge about the importance of social skills, PSV licenses, and about the documentation needed for registration. I’m so blessed for being able to gain knowledge and eventually become one of the top rating Maxim drivers,” said one of the partner-drivers, Abdul Rafif Bin Muhammad.

Anyone who wants to join as a partner-driver has to submit a few documents and licenses, and download one mobile application. Here is the list of documents to be prepared and uploaded to the application:

  1. Original copy of MyKad (blue)
  2. Original copy of Competent Driving License (CDL) that must be valid for more than one (1) year.
  3. For PSV License:
  • 1 color photo (white background) with 25 mm x 32 mm dimensions
  • Medical check-up certificate
  • JPJL8A Form
  • JPJL12 Form
  • JPJL2C Certificate
  1. Insurance

After the documentation is uploaded into the Taxsee Apps, the representative from Maxim will help with the application for EVP license, and all the license costs covered by the company with a compensated 0% commission.

“The seminars in driving schools started in 2021, and we received lots of positive feedback from our partner-drivers, management of the driving schools, and other associates. It is a continuous initiative and effort from us to share knowledge regarding the PSV licenses, traffic rules, and safety. Most of our partner-drivers really appreciate our approach, and they have gained valuable knowledge from our seminars in the driving schools,” said the director of Maxim Malaysia, Mohd Hazwan Musley.

This initiative has been truly a remarkable effort by the company to ensure that its partner-drivers are well educated on the traffic rules and safety on the road. Moreover, when passengers make their bookings, they can expect Maxim E-hailing partner-drivers to have adequate knowledge about traffic rules and safety.
