Penang, 8th May 2025 – Boon Siew Honda Sdn. Bhd. has officially unveiled the eagerly awaited 2025 Honda CB1000 SP, a striking new addition to the brand’s lineup that is set to stir excitement among naked motorcycle enthusiasts.. With its muscular streetfighter silhouette, adrenaline-charged performance, and precision handling, the CB1000 SP is already creating a buzz in the
two-wheeled world.

At its core, the CB1000 SP is powered by a high-performance engine derived from the legendary CBR1000RR Fireblade. This 1000cc liquid-cooled, 16-valve DOHC inline-four delivers an exhilarating 115.6kW at 11,000rpm and 107Nm of torque at 9,000rpm. A gain of 4kW and 2Nm is achieved through the addition of a Revolutionary Controlled (RC) valve in the 7.1L exhaust muffler, compared to the earlier versions. Fuel is managed via PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection), supported by a 17L fuel tank. It also features a wet, multi-plate assist & slipper clutch paired with a 6-speed constant mesh transmission for smooth, responsive power delivery.

UNLIMITED PERFORMANCE
The heart of the CB1000 SP remains true to its legacy, preserving the raw power and signature torque that define its character. With steel inlet valves and lightweight die-cast pistons further optimize strength and durability, while compact engine covers, along with aluminum ACG and oil pan components, reduce weight and enhance heat dissipation.

Furthermore, the Honda CB1000 SP is equipped with an assist and slipper clutch that makes riding easier and safer. The assist function reduces the effort needed to pull the clutch lever, while the slipper function helps prevent the rear wheel from hopping when downshifting quickly. This technology helps reduce rider fatigue, especially in heavy traffic or during long rides, and adds extra safety by making the bike more stable during sudden engine braking.

Adding to the performance package, A quick shifter also comes standard on the Honda CB1000. This allows riders to change gears without using the clutch lever, except when starting or stopping. Riders can focus more on throttle control and braking, making the ride smoother and more enjoyable. The system also automatically adjusts the throttle during downshifting, giving a seamless and sporty feel, whether cruising through the city or carving through winding roads.

STYLING
Aggressively styled and engineered in Japan, the CB1000 SP is defined by two key traits which is AGGRESSIVE and PURE. Its minimalist design emphasizes performance, headlined by compact dual LED projector headlights that improve visibility and lend a sharp, modern front profile. The tail section features a redesigned lamp setup that separates brakes and running lights for added clarity. Additionally, the sculpted tank by resembling folded wings flows seamlessly into a tapered tail, paying homage to the sleek, athletic silhouette.

Further enhancing dynamics, the newly developed one-piece steel twin-spar frame offers increased torsional rigidity for sharper handling and greater stability. It also reduces overall weight and incorporates rubber-mounted engine points for a smoother ride. Paired with a forward-biased center of gravity and blacked-out engine, swingarm, and wheels, stance exudes power. Completing the package, a new tapered handlebar and upright streetfighter ergonomics offer a poised and responsive riding posture.

Up front, Showa’s 41mm SFF-BP USD forks deliver full adjustability for preload, rebound, and compression damping. This innovative layout spring on one side, damping on the other not only improves damping stability across all speeds but also reduces weight and friction, contributing to the nimble, lightweight feel in any riding condition.

At the rear, an Öhlins TTX36 shock provides full adjustability with hydraulic preload control. Its separate oil circuits for rebound and compression offer precise tuning and exceptional road feedback. Additionally, a cast aluminum swingarm ensures the perfect balance of rigidity and flex, promoting confident handling and grip in all situations.

Braking performance matches the dynamic capabilities, thanks to a high-spec setup featuring a radial master cylinder and dual Brembo Stylema four-piston calipers paired with 310mm floating discs. At the rear, a 240mm disc and Nissin caliper ensure consistent, controlled stopping power under all conditions.
