Kuala Lumpur, March 9, 2022 — Caltex, marketed by Chevron Malaysia Limited (CML), is proud to announce the #Caltexunstoppablestar TikTok challenge, in partnership with Def Jam Southeast Asia and Universal Music Group for Brands. Aimed at inspiring musicians and fans to share their creativity across Malaysia, while standing a chance to win attractive prizes such as 10.2-inch iPads, Pre-loaded Caltex StarCash Cards worth RM500 and Caltex Havoline Fully Synthetic ECO Series. The challenge that has already amassed over 800 million views on TikTok runs from February 18, 2022 to April 21, 2022, celebrating the joy of driving and the freedom of journeys.
The challenge features a unique 60-second rap song co-written and co-produced for Caltex by SonaOne and performed by artists across three countries: Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines. The rap is divided into four 15-second sections, each increasing in speed and difficulty. With the addition of TikTok’s AR filters, users can rap along and create their own unstoppable rap video to express how they cannot be stopped from enjoying their journey. The song is catchy with a tongue-twisting and free-flowing rap that reminds people about the unbeatable joy of driving.

Unleash your superstar power by creating your own challenge video while rapping along to Caltex and Joe Flizzow’s unstoppable song. Flex your creativity and swag by adding different filters and graphics to your video using special gestures and facial expressions. Below is a how-to guide for challenge participants:
- You can find a link to the rap track, create your own video, and participate in the challenge on TikTok here.
- Participants must only use the official #Caltexunstoppablestar branded effect (filter) on TikTok, and the music created for the contest.
- Video must be posted on TikTok platform and should remain public until the end of the contest.
- All participants should include the official hashtag #Caltexunstoppablestar in the video caption.
- The full rap song is 60 seconds long. The beat gets faster every 15 seconds making the level of difficulty greater. Participants choose the level they want to master: 1, 2, 3, or 4 (rap genius level).
- Every 3 weeks, Caltex will select 3 winners with the ‘most creative submission’ who will win prizes.
- Each winner will walk away with the 10.2-inch iPad, Pre-loaded Caltex StarCash Card worth RM500 and Caltex Havoline Fully Synthetic ECO Series.
