We are excited to share with you a new service we will be piloting effective November 11, 2020, GrabSupermarket.
WHAT?
GrabSupermarket is Grab’s first foray into its online grocery delivery service functioning from a fully functional and stocked dark store*. The GrabSupermarket will boast a wide variety of household needs from fresh produce, frozen food, packaged food and beverages to homecare, household products, personal health, supplements and more!
While the current GrabMart service caters to all your urgent needs delivered under 30 minutes, the new GrabSupermarket aims to deliver the convenience of a full online grocery shopping experience with greater value and zero delivery fees.
WHY?
As the need for delivery services continue to grow in view of the pandemic, the GrabSupermarket is part of Grab’s efforts to offer more income opportunity to Grab’s delivery network while providing an end-to-end service for local producers, farmers wholesalers and FMCG brands to serve Grab’s wide customer base. In addition, this also provides a convenient, cashless and affordable way to purchase all their household needs and fresh groceries with just a tap of their finger especially in this new normal.
HOW?
Customers just need to power up the Grab App and click on the Mart tile to start shopping from the GrabSupermarket. Items will be delivered the next day with zero delivery fee.
WHEN?
As mentioned, we will begin piloting this service on November 11, 2020 targeting Section 12 and 13, Petaling Jaya. If you are within the pilot area, do try out our new service and share your feedback with us so that we can improve further.

* A dark store is a retail distribution centre that caters primarily to online shopping with no intentions of catering to walk-in customers. Therefore, it’s in the dark from the customer’s POV. Unlike normal customer-centric shopping or retail malls, a dark store does away with retail assistants, well laid out aisles, point of sales displays or sampling sessions and check-out counters. It is often located in a strategic nondescript location and easily accessible by delivery riders.
