Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia, today announced its participation at the Carlist.my DRIVE: Off-road Edition event which will take place at Kompleks Sukan Likas, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah on 16 to 17 November 2019.
Visitors to the two-day event will get to fully experience the capabilities of the ‘Built Ford Tough’ Ford Ranger through a series of off-road 4×4 obstacles as well as on-road driving courses. A line-up of Ford Ranger vehicles will also be on display and the first 20 customers who place a booking during the event will receive a Limited Edition Ford Ranger Raptor bomber jacket.
The Ford Ranger offers a choice of three diesel powertrains to deliver greater versatility and to match consumer demands for a wider variety of requirements. These include the new generation 2.0L Bi-Turbo and 2.0L Single-Turbo engines, and the Ranger’s proven Duratorq 2.2L.
Available exclusively on the Ranger Raptor and WildTrak 4×4 is the new-generation 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel engine, coupled with an advanced 10-speed automatic transmission to bring greater torque, improved flexibility and a quieter, more comfortable drive.

The Ranger Raptor – Malaysia’s first and only performance pickup – comes equipped with the cutting-edge Terrain Management System (TMS) with six pre-set driving including Baja, Sport, Rain, Mud/Sand, Rock and Normal mode. This performance based pickup also comes with the race-bred FOX Racing Shox dampers that is calibrated to tackle tough terrains at top speeds.
Ford Ranger is also one of the most awarded vehicles in its segment with the most recent award of ‘Best Pickup Truck’ being crowned to the Ford Ranger Raptor at the 2019 CarSifu Editors’ Choice Awards.
